The Ambassadors Theatre is located in London’s West End, in West Street, a short walk from Leicester Square. Among many restaurants and pubs very near to the theatre, the famous Ivy restaurant is situated opposite. The Ambassadors and its sister theatre, St. Martin’s, were designed by architect W. G. R. Sprague and were both due to be completed in 1913, however the First World War halted the construction of St. Martin’s which did not open for another three years. In 1996 the theatre changed hands and for a brief period was converted into two smaller spaces. In 1999 the theatre was converted back to its original design and renamed The New Ambassadors Theatre, but dropped the ‘New’ in 2007. It is next to its sister theatre, The St. Martin’s Theatre.

The current production of Stomp opened in October 2007.
