On Christmas eve, Jonah phones a local radio station and manages to convince his father to talk about how much he misses his wife on live radio. Sam becomes an overnight sensation, and his story touches the hearts of listeners across the country, prompting them to personally write to him. A reporter for the Baltimore Sun named Annie Reed also hears about Sam’s plight. She decides to write a letter to him, asking him to meet her on the top floor of the Empire State Building on Valentine’s Day. Will Sam respond to Annie’s request? What does the future have in store for Sam and his family?

The original film starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan was a wildly popular hit, grossing over $17 million in its opening weekend. Sleepless: A Musical Romance was conceived by Robert Scott, Brendan Cull, and Michael Burdette. Renowned West End director Morgan Young, known for his work on shows such as Elf and Big, will lead the cast of this production.
