Rigoletto is showing at the London Coliseum from 2 February 2017 until 28 February 2017. The performance runs for two hours 50 minutes, including two intervals of approximately 20 minutes each.
Rigoletto is a sharp-witted joker, though his latest gag has started a vendetta that’s a long way from being funny. With the immoral Duke seducing his daughter, Rigoletto is desperate for revenge.
Giuseppe Verdi’s opera is a tragic tale of sacrifice. It features a thrilling score that includes much of the opera’s recognisable music, such as ‘La Donna e Mobile’ – ‘Women Abandon Us’. This enthralling score is being conducted by Sir Richard Armstrong.
Nicholas Pallesen leads the cast playing Rigoletto, alongside Joshua Guerrero as the Duke and Sydney Mancasola as Gilda, Rigoletto’s love-stricken daughter.
