Pass Over explores the drama of racism

Inspired by Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot and the biblical Exodus, Pass Over is about two black men waiting under a street lamp and spending time with small talks and humour. They are trapped and stuck amongst the troubles which black men face in society and wait for the time to change. The protagonists, Moses and Kitch wake up every, hoping that things will change for them and they too will be accepted by the society. This epic blend of two tales is sure to create ripples in everyone’s mind. The friends’ everyday struggle is humorously well-crafted until a dark stranger appears in the lives and changes it forever.

Pass Over is raw, powerful and breathtakingly theatrical. It depicts police harassment, anti-Black racism, brutality, slavery, gun violence and strong language. There is no nudity. The drama takes you on an emotional ride where you will witness how black men are treated and how they yearned for freedom. They patiently wait for the oppression to pass and hope that things will be better one-day where they will not be considered as discarded human beings. Do not fail to miss this intense drama and get Pass Over theatre tickets for the Kiln Theatre.
