Opera Undone

Opera productions are dwindling rapidly in number, as the popularity for this art form gradually decreases. However, Opera Undone, a new production looks to turn things around for this form of storytelling on stage. Opera Undone London tickets are now available for those interested in experiencing not one, but two heart-gripping tales of love.

Two operas for the price of one

The show presents a double bill, including both La Bohème and Tosca. It promises to be quite unlike any other opera you experienced till date. Each of the two stories has been limited to intense and exciting 60-minute productions, preventing monotony. To reduce the length, the original tales are perfectly distilled without affecting the premise or drama of the story.

All the songs are now in English, eliminating the language barrier in the process. Opera Undone is a crucial addition in London opera and signifies an evolution of the art form. This change is greatly required so that operas can enthral the newer generation of theatregoers. Combining two stories with different themes is a risky experiment, but one that has the potential to become immensely popular.

Heartbreak and deception are two recurring concepts in both stories, leading to the tragedy for the characters. The English translation of songs is against the ideals of opera. Still, Adam Spreadbury-Maher and Becca Marriott decided to take this step to expand the audience for the diminishing art of opera. In their former interpretation of La Bohème, the duo brought the action to a modern-day East London. It focuses on the adverse effects of social media and increasing rent on modern co-dependent relationships.

The main aim of the production is to ease opera newcomers into the art form, while also offering enough entertainment for die-hard fans. Book your Opera Undone London tickets today to understand the draw and attraction of opera musicals on the grand stage.
