Why You Should Watch Natalia Osipova: Pure Dance

Pure Dance returns to Sadler’s Wells in London for a limited time only. After have won critical acclaim for her appearances in New York as well as Lyon, Natalia Osipova is back, ready to take West End by storm. She is going to be accompanied by the amazing David Hallberg who is the Theatre Principal for the American Ballet. He also showcases a breathtaking solo that has been choreographed by Kim Brandstrup. Pure Dance has always been an absolute charm to behold. It has several pairs of dancers, aside from the two stars, that are so good that they nearly rival the splendor of the main attraction.

The Show

The Royal Ballet principal is here to perform a hand-picked selection of classical as well as contemporary pieces in this select program. These pieces include the famous ‘The Leaves are Fading’ by Antony Tudor and the recently elaborated ‘Six Years Later’ by Roy Assaf. Apart from these, it also features three pieces that have been specially commissioned. These are duets by Iván Pérez and Alexei Ratmansky, with a fantastic solo performance by Yuka Oishi towards the end.
The entire show is full of solos and duets with these stars acting as the centerpieces. The show also acts as a platform to develop partnerships with choreographers and other dancers. These people have been carefully selected to ensure that they can bring out the diversity in Natalia’s artistry.
