Little Women The Musical is Coming to The West End for a Limited Run

The beloved musical based on Louisa Mary Alcott’s popular 1868 novel Little Women is coming to London’s Park Theatre this autumn. Hope Mill Theatre, Aria Entertainment, and Knockhardy Productions, the creative team that brought RAGS the Musical to you, together are joining hands to bring the timeless classic to life. Since its first production in 2005, Little Women The Musical has received roaring accolades across different stages and audiences, just like the original novel it is based on.

For many, the musical is very close to their hearts. It is a powerful tale of women empowerment that has been written almost 150 years ago but is still relevant in today’s time. It carries the same poignant message that sparked significant conversations on women’s rights and freedom of choice. Yet, there is something heartwarming and innocent about the characters that will make you feel connected with them, and root for them all the while.

After its glorious European Premiere, the brilliant musical is now coming to the West End for a limited period run. If you don’t want to miss the opportunity to watch the magic unfold live on stage, book your tickets now.

 The Journey of Four Sisters

Little Women The Musical follows the beautiful journey of March sisters—Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy, along with Marmee, their beloved mother who taught them to take on the world with compassion and courage. Set in the background of Civil War-torn America, the story shows how the four sisters, being very different from each other, become their own persons and face life.

Jo, the second eldest of the four, remains the focus of the story. She is a kindred spirit, always ready to break the traditional barriers of the society that expects a woman to behave a certain way. Instead, she aspires to become a writer and tell the world her stories. But as a woman, she faces the harsh realities of life and gets rejected by one publisher after another. Heartbroken, she starts to look for alternatives until she meets Professor Bhaer, a German gentleman who shows a keen interest in her works and guides her to make the stories more personal. As Jo realises what was missing from her stories, she starts to write about the journey of herself and her sisters, their hope, heartache, and aspirations, weaving a wonderful tale of self-discovery.

 The Creative Team

The musical was originally written for the stage by Allan Knee and composed by Jason Howland. The current edition of Little Women The Musical will be directed by Bronagh Lagan. Talented musician Leo Munby is entrusted with the musical direction while Nik Corrall is responsible for the set and costume design. Together, they have wonderfully recreated the charming era of the March sisters. The final cast of the performance is yet to be revealed. Perfect for every member of the family, the beloved musical is guaranteed to give you a delightful experience.
