Gangsta Granny fans are in for a treat in the summer, as the hit children’s book is adapted for the stage by Neal Foster and the Birmingham Stage Company, producers of the hugely successful Horrible Histories.
David Walliams’ most popular book tells the story of young Ben, who is forced by his ballroom dancing-infatuated parents to spend Friday evenings with his Granny. Just when Ben thought life couldn’t get more boring than eating cabbage soup and playing scrabble, his discovers a huge secret that sends him and his granny on an exhilarating gangsta journey!
This stage production of the much-loved children’s book is produced, adapted and directed by Neal Foster. Foster also plays in the cast, alongside Gilly Tompkins, Ashley Cousins, Benedict Martin, Louise Bailey, Liz Garland, Devesh Kilshore, Sophie Gibbs and Richard James.
