4000 Miles marks Timothee Chalamet’ West End debut. He is a professional appearing on stage for more than a decade but earned wide recognition when he starred in the film Call Me By Your Name. He delivered a series of amazing film performances subsequently. Timothee is playing Leo and ready to take London by storm. Alongside him is veteran Olivier-nominated actress Eileen Atkins. She has an acclaimed career in theatre, TV and film for over 60 years and is 3-time Olivier Award, an Emmy and a BAFTA Award winner. Both the stars complement each other well on stage and put forth breathtaking performances, giving their fans all the more reason to buy the 4000 Miles tickets.

Award-winner playwright Amy Herzog wrote the story, and it is brought to you by Tony Award-winning director Matthew Warchus. Amy is renowned for her simplistic yet graceful storytelling; theatre-goers may be familiar with her other play Mary Jane. Matthew is the Artistic Director of the Old Vic and his work includes the likes of True West and Matilda. What’s 4000 Miles About?

Leo, a 21-year-old boy and his best friend start on their bicycles from the West Coast for a trip expected to last several months. Vera Joseph is a 91-year-old political activist and Leo’s grandmother, whose solitary life is shaken when she finds him at her door at midnight. Leo promises Vera that he won’t be staying long, but he is emotionally troubled. His problems with his mother, an on-and-off romance, and a duo-trip that ended solo took a heavy toll on him, and he needs someone to show him the way. This is also the first time Vera found someone to talk to after the death of her husband.
