On Wednesday 29 June 2016, the curtains will open for the first time ever to the new musical, Eugenius.

This classic love story has been written by Ben Adams and Chris Wilkins. The story’s protagonists are two kids, Eugene and Janey. It’s the groovy 1980s and Janey is in love with Eugene, who never has his head out of a comic. Eugene’s love for comics sees him write his own comic script, inventing his own superhero.

Despite the odds, Eugene’s imaginary creation sees the youngster riveted to the heady lights of Hollywood, where he becomes an unlikely hero of his own intergalactic battle.

Asides an extremely witty script, this uplifting musical boasts hit song after hit song. Eugenius is directed by Michael Jibson and Ian Talbot.

The ultra-talented cast is led by Warwick Davis, a well-known face on television and film, having starred in Star Wars and Harry Potter.

Davis will be joined by a whole host of award-winning names in musical theatre, including David Bedella, Amy Lennox, Samuel Holmes and Summer Strallen. The musical is narrated by Marcus Brigstocke and features the voice of Brian Blessed.

Described as being the “musical you’ve been waiting for, even if you don’t like musicals,” Eugenius is one musical world premiere not to be missed at the London Palladium.

Eugenius is showing at the London Palladium on Wednesday 29 June, 2016 at 7.30pm.
