Award-winning ventriloquist is coming to the Lyric Theatre with Nina Conti In Your Face

Grabbing inspiration from the audience, the acclaimed ventriloquist promises to take the Lyric Theatre by storm in a ground-breaking improvised show, without moving her lips.

In 2013 Nina Conti won a British Comedy Award for Best Female. Having made her mark at the Apollo, Russell Howard’s Good News and Sunday Night at the Palladium, the rising star has enjoyed a string of great reviews.

“Put simply, Nina Conti is a genius”, wrote the Mirror.

The accolade was shared by the Guardian, which described the award-wining performer as:

“A gem… funny, poignant, novel.”

Nina Conti started her career acting with the Royal Shakespeare Company before being inspired to become a ventriloquist. A documentary film about Conti’s ventriloquist ventures as a hospital clown became a huge hit.

Conti’s directional debut with Her Master’s Voice won a prestigious Grierson Award and a BAFTA nomination.

Nina Conti In Your Face is playing at the Lyric Theatre on Monday 30 November 2015.

The show runs for 110 minutes and has one interval. It is not suitable for under 16s.
