Casting has been announced for the world premiere of Tim Rice and Stuart Brayson’s new musical From Here to Eternity which begins previews at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London on 30 September 2013.
The show is packed with experienced West End star including Darius Campbell (Chicago, West End) as Warden, Siubhan Harrison (Grease, West End) stars as Lorene, Robert Lonsdale (Anna Christie, Donmar Warehouse) will play Prewitt, Ryan Sampson (Open Court, Royal Court) as Maggio and Rebecca Thornhill (South Pacific, UK tour) plays Karen.

James Jones’ acclaimed World War II classic novel is an epic drama of army life in the calm before the raid on the American naval base Pearl Harbour. It is a dark and dramatic story that was adapted in to an Oscar winning film starring Burt Lancaster, Frank Sinatra, Montgomery Clift, Ernest Borgnine, Deborah Kerr and Donna Reed. The film won 8 Academy Awards out of 13 nominations.
Tim Rice is the former collaborator of Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist for such West End hits as Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar. Tim was also the lyricist for Disney’s The Lion King.
From Here to Eternity the show in London marks Tim Rice first new stage musical for over ten years. A crowd of over 10,000 people were given an exclusive chance to hear a new song from the musical, ‘Fight the Fight’, as Robert Lonsdale performed at West End Live.
Adapted from one of the greatest novels of the twentieth century, this gripping tale of illicit love and army life unites the writing talents of Tim Rice (lyrics), Stuart Brayson (music) and Bill Oakes (book).
