Elf the musical will return this Autumn!

After a sell out season last Christmas at the Dominion theatre Elf the musical is heading back to London in October 2016.

Elf hit the news headlines last year with sky high prices of tickets. But the prices didn’t put off keen and enthusiastic audiences in the West End who flocked to see Elf despite the big prices.
The star of the show last year was the winner of ITV’s Superstar (the search for Jesus Christ Superstar) Ben Forster as Buddy the Elf. Such was the power of Ben’s performance that he won himself the starring role as the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s long running epic musical The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s theatre in London.
Elf the musical is based on the hit movie starring Will Ferrell. The musical is narrated by Santa Claus and tells the tale of William “Buddy” Hobbs, a young orphan child, who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole, where he becomes one of Santa’s elves.
Years later, Buddy learns of his true identity as a human and goes to New York City to meet his biological father, spreading Christmas cheer in a world of cynics as he goes.
The show received rave reviews and was described by one critic as “a tight, polished, expensive-looking affair that has enough jokes for adults and enough special effects for kids”.
Elf the musical broke box office records on Broadway with ticket sales exceeding over a million dollars in one week.
It is a slick, fast-paced, hilariously funny, great show, suitable for all the family – Andrew Peterson
The show in London is expected to return this Autumn. Tickets will be on sale here
