Disney’s Aladdin the musical heads for the West End


Jump aboard the magic carpet as Disney’s Broadway blockbuster musical Aladdin is finally heading to London’s West End next year in 2016 to London’s Prince Edward theatre.

This eagerly awaited new musical has been wowing audiences and critics alike on Broadway. The New York Times calls it “Fabulous!” and “Extravagant!” and The Huffington Post says it’s “One of the most delirious things of its kind in years!” NBC-TV pronounced “Exactly what you wished for!”

Aladdin is a bold new musical comedy, with exhilarating choreography, show-stopping performances and astonishing visual effects, Not forgetting the fantastic music, which includes all the cherished songs from the Academy Award-winning score, such as ‘A Whole New World’, ‘Prince Ali’ and ‘Arabian Nights’ and more written especially for the stage show.
Aladdin the musical is certainly a show for all the family as the beloved story is brought to thrilling theatrical life. Aladdin’s journey sweeps you into an exotic world full of daring adventure, classic comedy and timeless romance.
This brand-new stage show is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw, and composed by Tony Award winner Alan Menken. Lyrics have been written by Howard Ashman and Tony Award winner Tim Rice, with book and additional lyrics by Chad Beguelin. The amazing set design, lighting and costumes are by multiple Tony Award winners Bob Crowley, Gregg Barnes and Natasha Katz.
