Bette Midler heading to the West End in I’ll Eat You Last
Just weeks after closing on Broadway in June earlier this year after a sell out 13 weeks at the Booth theater, rumour has it that the play I’ll Eat You Last starring Bette Midler is heading for London’s West End.
“I’ll Eat You Last,” the play starring Bette Midler, recouped its $2.4 million capitalization costs in just 8 weeks, well ahead of its 30th June finish. Tickets for I’ll Eat You Last were like gold-dust as the 777 seater theatre played to sold-out houses.

I’ll Eat You Last is a play about the Hollywood super-agent, Sue Menger, who sadly died back in 2011.
For over 20 years, Sue Mengers’s clients were the talk of tinsel town, and her dinner parties were the envy of the Hollywood superstars. Now, you’re invited into her glamorous Beverly Hills home for an evening of dish, dirty secrets and all the inside showbiz gossip with lurid details that only Bette Midler, as Sue, can tell you.
Sue’s clients were the biggest names in show business, including: Barbra Streisand, Bob Fosse, Burt Reynolds, Candice Bergen, Cher, Faye Dunaway, Gene Hackman, Nick Nolte, Ryan O’Neal, and many more.
Bette Midler was appearing on Broadway for the first time in nearly 40 years. The Tony and Grammy Award-winning superstar played the legendary Hollywood agent Sue Mengers in this new, one-character play written by Tony Award winner and three-time Academy Award nominee John Logan and directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello.
We’ll keep you posted at Shows in London where and when the show is confirmed, expect a stampede for tickets for this show though.
