The highly anticipated production of Cinderella at the London Palladium has been riveted to even greater excitement with the news that Amanda Holden will be playing the Fairy Godmother

The much-loved presenter, singer, actress and talent show judge will play Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother in the London Palladium’s production of the classic fairy-tale.

Sharing her excitement to be performing at the London Palladium, Amanda Holden said:

“I cannot wait to spread my Fairy Godmother dust over the festive season in this huge production at one of the most iconic theatres in the world. It’s an absolute honour to have been asked. I’m very excitement but nothing like my two girls who can’t wait to watch their Mama fly!”

The national treasure is no stranger to the West End stage. The talented singer and actress played the role of Princess Fiona in the West End premiere of Shrek. Amanda Holden also performed in Thoroughly Modern Millie on the West End, a performance which earned her an Olivier Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical.

Amanda Holden is joining a string of well-known names in the production, including Paul O’Grady as the Wicked Stepmother, Julian Clary as Dandini, Lee Mead playing Prince Charming, Nigel Havers as Lord Chamberlain, Paul Zerdin as Buttons and Count Arthur Strong as Baron Hardup.

Cinderella is showing at the London Palladium for a limited five-week period from 9 December 2016 until 15 January 2017. This lavish new production with its all-star cast, promises to bring the classic fairy-tale of Cinderella’s whirlwind rags to riches story to life, in the glamour and glitz of the London Palladium.

The production is produced by Nick Thomas and Michael Harrison for Qdos Entertainment. It’s directed by Michael Harrison and co-directed and choreographed by Andrew Wright.
